Graham was unfortunate to find himself in a lost rook and minor piece ending after declining several draw offers from Doreen. On the other hand, after crafting a +/- position from the opening I was very lucky to stir up at least equal chances when the proverbial material encountered the fan. But that’s the worst of it. Our four winners played consistently and well – Alan’s lively Morra Gambit probably first choice for entertainment, with Louis enjoying a line in the Catalan he had been studying at the weekend. The boys done good!
