As Carlsen repeatedly demonstrates stamina is vital in chess at all levels, and in this very tight match Clevedon came with the greater supply of it. Prakash and Peter did what I was hoping for, but Louis and myself missed taking full points that were definitely available. (Louis didn’t help himself by arriving late.) Both our opponents dug in and thereby clinched the match.
I didn’t see much of other boards except that Nigel’s king came under murderous fire after not much more than an hour.
