Cabot B 1 – Horfield E 3
Horfield E returned to winning ways against previously unbeaten Cabot B at the Rope Walk on Thursday 11 October. Horfield had too much strength in depth for their opponents. Graham lost on board one but Loni, Alex and Mike won in that order.

Loni turned his extra passed pawn in to a win, Alex picked up a couple of pawns early on and finished two queens and two rooks up in the end and Alan Tanner forced to look for the win to salvage Cabot’s unbeaten record eventually lost.
Next the E team take in Bath University A team. There is a thought.
