Righteo, I’ve been a bit remiss in providing updates. So let’s try to get up to speed.
The A team has played two, winning one and losing one. We lost a close one to Bath but pleasingly got the better of a strong Clevedon team with Matias bringing home the points from a piece down in a thriller of a game against Rob Thompson on board 1. Good win from Peter as well converting an equal end game into a full point. Details here.
The B team has only played one match; we had a weakened team but cruised to a comfortable win against Downend C. Scorecard here.
The C team has managed a win, lose and draw in that order. 4.5-1.5 vs Clifton D first up then a reality check losing to Yate by the same scoreline in a match where we might have just about squeaked a draw if things had gone our way. Last week we drew away to Portishead and maybe should have done better but ho hum, we’ve got the rematch on Tuesday. Results here.
The D team is unbeaten after three matches; two draws and a win. The win came against Hanham and the last time out saw us draw 3-3 with Clifton E where every match went the way of the white pieces with Duncan, Joe, and Ryan scoring our points. Results here.
The E team has lost both matches by the closest margin in what is a pretty competitive division 5 this season. Details here.
Finally, the F team has two wins and a draw and sits proudly top of division 7. Tom and Scott doing good things on the top two boards. Detail here.
