We’re off and running. The A, B, and E teams have started their campaigns. We’re out of both cups at the first time of asking and Brent has already managed to play four games.
Narrow losses to Clifton in the KO (here) and Clevedon in the MKO (here). The Clifton match could, on another evening, swung our way. But it didn’t.
The A team started with a comfortable 4.5-1.5 victory against Clevedon A (here). Wins for Derek, Andy, Steve, and Peter.
The B team drew with Grendel A (here). Wins for Brent and Phil. Phil with a pleasing windmill-style mating finish, Brent with some clever tactics.
The E team have already played two matches. An opening round 3-1 win against on of the many South Bristol teams in division 6 (here) then a loss by the same score against Clifton G (here). Martin won in both matches to set himself up for the most winningest season ever.
