A round up of the results so far this year
Firstly on the 2nd Jan, the E team went to Clifton and won very impressively 5-1 over an extended six board match. Joe and Kana continued their winning ways and were joined Jack and Mike who scored full points. Graham and Scott kept things steady on the top two boards to ensure an undefeated night. The win secured the E team’s place in the top half of division 4A meaning both our D and E teams will be in division 4 for the second half of the season.
Our interest in the cups ended with a comprehensive defeat against a much stronger Clifton team on the 9th Jan. Harry did well to draw against Ted. Otherwise not a lot to say…. Next year I guess.
The derby. The A team took the honours in a closely fought match. Decisive results on the top and bottom boards sandwiching four draws was enough for the A team.
